A CITY SECRET. That’s what I call it.

For sure, not everyone is aware that there’s an organization & gallery called STPI, which focuses on co-creating and curating art pieces made from print and paper. More than that, not everyone knows that you can walk past beyond the galleries and roam around their workshop areas.

This morning, I had the chance to meet their marketing person, Tessa Chung, as she shares the stories and upcoming events lined up for STPI Creative Workshop & Gallery.

Some of the Filipino artists they’ve worked with in the past include: Geraldine Javier, Ronald Ventura, Lyra Garcellano, Anita Magsaysay-Ho, and Pacita Abad.

From September 09 to November 11, 2016, STPI will be hosting the collections of the Japanese artist Shinro Ohtake (Paper – Sight). The gallery will focus on a collage of objects, images and scraps inspired by ‘discarded urban culture and mass media’ which characterizes his style and artistry.
