The spotlight was on the six Ilocos-based local fashion designers who dressed 20 of the 65th Miss Universe candidates in elegant Filipiniana attire at the pre-pageant fashion show in the charming cobbled-stoned streets of Vigan, Ilocos Norte held on January 15, 2017.

While some didn’t appreciate the overall ternos by these local designers, the candidates still managed to bring poise and elegance while sporting the traditional costumes.

Which ternos stood out from the rest? Here’s our take:
