Our favorite blue-skinned humanoids are back on the big screen with “The Smurfs: The Lost Village.” Hefty, Brainy, Clumsy, Papa Smurf, and Gargamel are at it again to entertain us with their humor, mishaps, and little adventures. The film is scheduled to be shown in the Philippines on March 31, 2017 (Friday).

Meet the characters and the actors behind each one of them:

Joe Manganiello voices “Hefty” in Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation’s SMURFS: THE LOST VILLAGE.

Hefty (Joe Manganiello) – characterized as the strong and courageous Smurf, yet one who is a softie as well. “What I love about this movie is that it returns to the look that my generation all remember as kids, so it’s nostalgic for adults – but it’s also going to usher in an entire new generation, including my two-year-old niece, who loves the Smurfs and is going to get to see her uncle play Hefty,” says Joe.

Joe appeared in various films such as “Magic Mike” and in a couple of TV Series such as “True Blood.”

Danny Pudi voices “Brainy” in Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation’s SMURFS: THE LOST VILLAGE.

Brainy (Danny Pudi)  – characterized as the most resourceful Smurf. “Brainy’s the whiz kid on Team Smurf. He’s always trying to figure out how to solve a problem,” Danny says. “He can get hyper-focused at times, but he has a very good heart and he does it for his friends.”

Danny is best known for his role as Abed Nadir in the comedy series “Community.”

Jack McBrayer voices “Clumsy” in Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation’s SMURFS: THE LOST VILLAGE.

Clumsy (Jack McBrayer) – characterized as the most loving Smurf.  “He’s such a good fella – the kind of guy you want on your team, so long as your team doesn’t require hand-eye coordination or grace or ability,” Jack says. “If you need somebody with team spirit, Clumsy is your Smurf.”
