Pop balladeer Ronnie Liang spread kilig last Saturday with his sold-out LOVExROMANCE anniversary concert at the Music Museum. Fans of all ages went wild when Ronnie serenaded them with local and international hits. Michael Buble songs, OPM classics and current hits made it to Ronnie’s lineup — Sway, Basta’t Kasama Kita, Nandito Ako, Mundo, Yakap, and Ikaw (this he performed with Filipino and Korean lyrics!). Some of his personal chart-toppers were performed as expected – Gusto Kita, Ngiti, and Ligaya.

It was a visual and musical treat for everyone with the highly engaged audience as proof. Ladies flocked to Ronnie whenever the singer went offstage to reach out to his guests. He has undoubtedly kept the heartthrob charm he has always been known for.

Added entertainment was provided by Ronnie’s talented co-artists from VIVA Artists Agency. Ella Cruz rendered a smooth and sexy dance number while Janine Teñoso performed her single Hindi Tayo Pwede with Ronnie.

What made the jampacked concert extra special was the presence of Asia’s Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo. It was the popstar’s first public appearance after the announcement of her engagement with long-time beau and fellow VIVA artist Matteo Guidicelli.

An obviously happy and kilig Sarah expressed fondness for Ronnie and even joked about wanting her future kid to be just like him. Alam mo pag nagkaanak ako, gusto ko ganyan, katulad mo, guwapo, mabait, napakaganda ng boses. Uy, walang halong bola ‘to ha,” Sarah told Ronnie. She added, “Kami po ni Ronnie, hindi po kami ganun ka-close pero every time I see him, magaan na magaan ang loob ko sa kanya kasi ang saya-saya niyang kasama.”

Sarah continued with more words of appreciation, “I believe in his talent so much. I think ‘yung ganitong klaseng boses, ganitong talent, rare talaga, nag-iisa lang siya sa industriya po natin. Kaya, I’m very, very happy and I’m rejoicing that this concert has finally happened. Long overdue na ‘to kaya congratulations, Ronnie!” A touched Ronnie responded and thanked the popstar, “Thank you, Sarah Geronimo. Alam mo, since Pinoy Dream Academy, I was very consistent na sinasabi kong it’s my dream na maka-duet and maka-collab ang isang Sarah Geronimo. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity.” Before leaving the stage, Sarah screamed, “I love you, Ronnie Liang!”
